It was old home week for Ashley Hood-Morley when she recently talked with students at the University of Kentucky.
Hood-Morley is senior vice president of industry engagement at the Plastics Industry Association in Washington. On a LinkedIn post, she said she "recently had the chance to share my journey in the plastics industry with chemical engineering juniors and seniors at my alma mater, University of Kentucky College of Engineering."
Hood-Morley talked to students "right in the same room where I once tackled Calc 3." She's spoken at UK previously and again was invited by J. Zach Hilt, a chemical engineering professor at the school.
"It's always such a rewarding experience," Hood-Morley wrote of her visits back to UK. "It's not only a trip down memory lane, but also a chance to be inspired by the next generation of bright, thoughtful students eager to make an impact."
"I highly encourage giving back in this way," she added. "It's an experience that pays off in more ways than one! Go Cats!"
