Peggy Schipper has been named 2022 Industry Partner of Year by the Vinyl Institute.
Schipper, senior sales associate at Performance Additives LLC, received the award Nov. 17 at VI's annual meeting and 40th-anniversary celebration in Washington, D.C. The award "recognizes allies who have made unique and valuable contributions on behalf of the industry's outreach, advocacy, and education programs," officials said in a news release.
VI President Ned Monroe said in the release that Schipper's commitment to the vinyl industry "shows in her 30-plus years of working and advocating on behalf of the plastics industry."
"Through her volunteer efforts with the Society of Plastics Engineers, she has helped educate thousands of individuals and advance the younger generation's interest in the plastics industry," he added.
Schipper has spent much of her career working in business management positions in the specialty chemicals market. She's been published in multiple publications on topics ranging from PVC building products, PVC lubricants, and additive packages in PVC processing.
Performance Additives is a plastic additives supplier based in Southern Pines, N.C. Schipper's previous industry experience includes more than 20 years with Arkema. She's also worked with Valtris Specialty Chemicals, Akcros Chemicals and other materials firms.
