There's a growing army of professionals who are working to make their companies — and the entire plastics industry — more sustainable. We recognized many of them last year in our inaugural Notable Leaders in Sustainability special report.
That project was a huge success, so now we're getting ready to recognize our second cohort.
Our Notable Leaders in Sustainability special report will run in our Oct. 14 print issue.
To qualify for the list, nominees must serve in a leadership role or lead sustainability initiatives at an organization and make a measurable impact on the environment through their efforts. They must demonstrate leadership through involvement in professional organizations and civic and community initiatives.
As I wrote last year, prioritizing environmental goals is good for business, and it's now good for plastics careers, too.
You can nominate yourself, a colleague or anyone who you feel is a leader in plastics sustainability issues. If you want to nominate someone else, then please encourage them to fill out the survey themselves — we ask a lot of questions that require their input.
Please submit nominations to plasticsnews.com/NotableNominations by Sept.23. Contact me or Special Projects Editor Jordan Vitick with questions.
