North American prices for recycled PVC clear industrial regrind have remained steady throughout 2024, but differ from previous levels.
According to sources in contact with Plastics News, the current chart for recycled PVC pricing for clear industrial regrind is out of date. The new pricing range for clear industrial regrind is 31-38 cents. These changes are shown on this week's PN resin pricing chart.
"The larger companies that buy it, they have too much inventory, and really aren't going out of their way to buy a lot of regrind," said a recycler in the Midwest
Prices slowed in the middle of 2023 and has not picked back up yet. Sources are not expecting an increase any time this year.
"I don't think anybody in the world can predict that at this point. I don't see really any indicators that say it's going to go up," the recycler said.
"I think until you see interest rates change, I don't know that a lot more is going to happen," the source added.
