TIME Bicycles, in partnership with KraussMaffei, Fraunhofer USA and Clemson University is raising the bar of composite bicycle technology through a special development project to introduce HP-RTM (High Pressure Resin Transfer Molding) to the cycling industry.
At the NPE 2024 show, KraussMaffei, TIME Bicycles and Clemson University, showcased the first state-of-the-art, USA produced HP-RTM bicycle to the world. Visitors to the show had the chance to register for a giveaway from the first production. Retail value of the complete bicycle is $8,000 USD. TIME Bicycles was founded in France in 1987 and is the leading European manufacturer of carbon fiber bicycles, specializing in Resin Transfer Molding (RTM).
Tony Karklins, CEO of TIME Bicycles, drew the winning business card from a raffle drum at KraussMaffei’s NPE2024 booth on Thursday, May 13th, at 2:00 pm – day 4 of NPE. The winner, Theresa Weyer from Cresline Plastic Pipe Co., Inc., was thrilled to receive this premium bicycle, which stands as a milestone in lightweight construction. Theresa, an avid cyclist with a 500-mile bike ride planned for this summer, now has an exceptional new ride for her journey.
KraussMaffei was delighted that one of their own customers won the bike, and they anticipate seeing Theresa on her new HP-RTM TIME Bicycle during her upcoming adventure. Congratulations again to Theresa Weyer on winning this cutting-edge bicycle! Enjoy your new ride!
