New Process Optimization for ENGEL Control Systems
Starting in November 2024, the new process optimization checklist will be integrated as a standard feature in the ENGEL CC300 and CC300 plus control systems. This function guides users interactively through the available digital assistance systems to ensure that processes are optimized in the correct sequence. By doing so, sources of errors are minimized, and efficiency is maximized – activating the machine's "green mode". The process optimization feature can also be retrofitted to machines already equipped with CC300 controls via a software upgrade, providing valuable support to operators in running the system optimally.

Automatic Leak Detection for Hot Runner Systems
At Fakuma in October 2024, ENGEL introduced an automatic leak detection system for hot runner systems. This option is fully integrated into ENGEL’s tool heating system, enabling early detection of temperature control errors and preventing costly repairs caused by tool overflow. The system significantly contributes to avoiding tool downtime or even production losses. The leak detection system identifies material leaks within the tool, compares them against tolerance thresholds, and triggers an adjustable alarm response. ENGEL thereby ensures significantly higher operational safety and improves quality control.
Highly Flexible User Login System
Another highlight is the new, highly flexible user login system in ENGEL’s control systems. "Not everyone should have access to the machine – operators need to know the basics," reflects the sentiment of many production managers. While the standardized EUROMAP65 login system allows almost anyone to log in to the machine, the new login system enables an authorized person to assign user levels and access permissions precisely. Additionally, the system supports login with nearly any card, theoretically even a Visa card. This significantly enhances both security and flexibility in production.
