ENGEL is continuing to extend its lead in the global EcoVadis sustainability ranking. The company achieved Platinum status in the autumn of 2023 and is now among the top 1% of the world's most sustainable companies due to its strong initiatives.
ENGEL: A global leader in climate protection
"We are proud that our sustainability efforts have once again been objectively confirmed," says Stefan Engleder, CEO of the ENGEL Group. "It shows that as a company, we stick to our principles, even in challenging times."
EcoVadis is the world's largest provider of sustainability rankings. The rankings include data from more than 90,000 companies and focus on global supply chains. Companies are assessed for their environmental, social, and ethical performance.
"In the area of climate protection, we have made significant improvements, and now we are among the leaders," points out Alexander Hell, Head of Sustainability Management at ENGEL. This is primarily attributed to the combination of science-based greenhouse gas reduction targets and the numerous climate protection measures already implemented at ENGEL's locations and in its solution portfolio. Just this summer, ENGEL announced its commitment to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). This makes the company 100% transparent in its sustainability efforts and subject to verification according to scientific criteria.
