ReVive-brand compatibilizers are blends of functional additives that can reduce the amount of material sent to landfills by allowing post-industrial and post-consumer barrier films to be reprocessed back into the polyolefin recycling stream, officials with Tarrytown, N.Y.-based Ampacet said in a recent news release.
The new capacity is for high molecular weight hindered amine light stabilizers (HALS). Those materials are used in Solvay's Cynergy-brand and Cyxtra-brand polymer additives which are combined with polyethylene and polypropylene in building and construction, agricultural films and other consumer and industrial uses.
