Italian rubber and plastics machinery trade association Amaplast has announced a 3.6 percent year-over-year growth in revenue in 2018, without giving detailed figures for sales.
The Italian plastic and rubber machinery sector is set to post 5 percent growth for 2017, with an estimated all-time high of 4.5 billion euros ($5.4 billion) worth of production, according to the Italian rubber and plastics machinery manufacturers' association Amaplast.
The Italian rubber && plastics machinery sector is seeing growth with exports up 14.6 percent in the first half of 2017 compared to the same period the year before with the biggest growth coming from Russia.
Italian plastics industry trade group Assocomaplast has a new name: Amaplast. “Shorter and easier to pronounce (especially for non-Italians),” said Association President, Alessandro Grassi, adding that the new name is an “acronym for Associazione Macchine Plastica (Plastics Machinery Association).”
The positive 2016 data confirm "signs that the domestic market is regaining altitude after many — too many — years of stagnation,” said Alessandro Grassi, president of Italian trade group Assocomaplast.
Imports of machinery to Italy in the first half of 2016 indicated a strengthening in the Italian plastics market, according to an analysis of data by trade group Assocomaplast.
Assocomaplast, the Italian trade association for plastic and rubber processing equipment makers and mold makers, says its member companies may be on their way to a record export sales year once all of the numbers are in for 2015.
Assocomaplast, the Italian association for plastic and rubber processing machinery, has released data for 2013 which it said indicated the Italian machinery market was remaining stable.
