Chinese mattresses exported to the U.S. could face 1,731.75 percent provisional tariffs following a U.S. Department of Commerce May 29 announcement, following an antidumping duty investigation on imports from China.
Demand for polyurethane across NAFTA grew by about 4.4 percent per year between 2014 and 2016. Growth between 2016 and 2018 is continuing at that level or higher. Compounded annual growth in the US was closer to 4.6 percent.
