Lin Huang has nearly 30 years of work and leadership experience in the industry, including hedging, strategy, commercial and operations, mergers and acquisitions, sales and marketing, strategic sourcing, reorganizing and revitalizing, cross-functional alignment, compliance and more.
As the senior manager of sales and supply chain management in the Americas region for Sabic in Houston, Huang drives initiatives for maximizing revenue, deepening customer relationships, optimizing supply chain management, implementing sales strategies, and coaching and mentoring talent development.
Huang has built up 12 workstreams to drive full compliance and governance, with $40 million in annual cost saving and $10 million demurrage reduction; developed a recovery plan with $31 million realized in 2023 and $30 million planned for 2024; and diversified and grew term contract customers from 80 to 128.
She studied economics at the International Institute of Social Studies at Erasmus University Rotterdam in the Netherlands and earned an executive MBA from Rice University in Texas. She received the Jones Scholar Award for her academic achievements.
Huang started at DuPont Asia as a strategic sourcing leader for raw materials to make thermoplastics, ethylene copolymers, elastomers, renewably sourced polymers, high-performance parts and shapes, as well as resins that act as adhesives, sealants and modifiers.
She also previously held positions at Methanex Corp. with various senior management roles, and she has been a board member of the Methanol Institute, American Fuel and Petrochemical Manufacturers, and ACELA, a Latin American clean fuels nonprofit association.
Huang was born in China and lived in many different countries and cities while growing up. She moved from Shanghai to Houston in 2017.

In leveraging her living, studying and working experiences in Asia, Europe, America as well as daily work with Saudi Arabia, Huang applies techniques and soft skills to overcome the unique challenges she faces as a female leader.
"I am committed to drive diversity and inclusion and the development of women and young talent," she said. "I am a leader for Sabic global diversity and inclusion and am a mentor for internal and external talents, including a master mentor for the mentors at Institute of Supply Management."
